My name is Paddy and since 2002 I have worked with a dedicated and talented team of scientists to take this new innovative technology to pre-clinical trials in companion and food animals.

I have been surrounded by animals all my life, beginning with the family dog and spending summer vacations on a dairy farm in England. Like many young girls I dreamed of owning my own horse but this dream did not come to fruition until later in life. My other dream to be a veterinarian was not possible for a young lady growing up in England in the post war years so I was forced to pursue an alternative career as a Medical Laboratory Technician.

I was fortunate to find employment with veterinarians and scientists in Veterinary Colleges, first in Cambridge England followed by the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Canada.

I went on to obtain a degree in Animal Science and a PhD in Veterinary Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Minnesota and finally a DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College.

Since graduation I have worked in Small Animal practice, directed a veterinary diagnostic laboratory and worked with food animals and horses.

I currently live on a small acreage with my 3 horses, 2 dogs and cat. I spend much of my personal time working with my own horses, helping young people with their horses and operating a part time equine practice.

My work with the VGX Animal Health technology has been one of the most rewarding and satisfying experiences in my career. In my position as Director of Clinical Research, I have been able to experience first hand the promising results obtained in both the farm and companion animals. My mission with VGX Animal Health is to bring this technology and future technologies to the market where it can improve the health and well being of companion and food animals worldwide.
